Captains Log Star Day 1

It’s time out with the movie star on our own! It was Thursday July 12, 2018. We docked for fuel. Then we beached her on Enterprise Island to say farewell to all or Blursday night river rats. The RAM in Ramjet even showed up for the occasion. We decided to go to another beach 521. We meet up with some friends out of Alton whom have American Beauty a 1969 Chris Craft Aquahome. Paying attention to floodwaters dropping about a foot in 24 hours we decided to move the boat. When using assistants to pull off the beach in current be certain the person bringing you the aft to shore anchor keeps the rope tight so it does not get wrapped up into the propeller and shaft. I made an attempt holding my breath to free the rope. Can’t hold my breath that long. We left the boat where it was for the night.

Star Day 2.
I rose with the dawn to get my diving gear and free the rope. I tried every knife we own including ones from the galley. I found out the best where serrated. Ran out of air! Just then our friends Lowell and Dianne showed up to cook us breakfast. Ahhhh! Ate, got a ride to the harbor from American Beauty’s tender went to town. More air, hacksaw, supplies. Returned to the island at 5:30 pm. Freed the rope. Stayed the night on the beach.

Star Day 3.
No damage other than the rope. Arrived back to the Harbor to load our final items and head out. I noticed a problem. Structural! Delay of game.

Star Day 4-?
As some of you have seen. The closet I build my Queen. Well it needs more support! Good to know now than on the river with no access to supplies or knowledge. How many Jacks and straps does it take?

It’s day 8 now and I’m still working on it! So yes here is our update. I will keep you all up to date as we continue our journey to where the rivers meet the sounds and seas. When our we departing? GodSpeed!
